![]() Olive Purdie joined Four's Company Choir for the Movie Madness Summer in the Park Concert and continued performing with the group when she won the role of the manipulative and seducing spinster Mrs Lovett, in the Operetta Sweeney Todd. Since first stepping on stage at age 3, she fed the acting bug with school performances including Joseph and the Technicolour Dreamcoat, and in the One Act Play Festivals for Porirua Little Theatre and Wellington Stagecraft Theatre in her teens. A move to Wairarapa saw her perform in Dancing at Lughnasa, Steel Magnolias, and Anyone for Murder at Harlequin Theatre. Now at home in Hawke's Bay, Olive has appeared in a number of productions for both the Napier Repertory Theatre and Theatre Hawke's Bay including About Alice, Noises Off, The 23 Year Old Escort, Music Man and Stiff. She has also appeared in Four's Company's Amahl and the Night Visitors with her young son Tom, and is a valuable member of the Four's Company Performance Choir and the Four's Company Performance Art's Board.
